Back from Hakone

Just got back from Hakone. Didn't get a chance to post anything before leaving yesterday morning (which seems forever ago). Hakone is an onsen area not far from Shizuoka. We had to take a couple of slower trains to get there.

August the 23rd. I crashed last night. I missed seeing a show on TV at 11 p.m. in which someone teaches English and some ladies show their bellybuttons and dance. I've never actually seen the English-lesson/bellydance TV show, but it's supposed to be popular. I also missed seeing this flower bloom... it was wilted when I got up this morning. :(

All during our travels, Mariko and I scout out places to get nice treats. There are plenty of such places in Japan.

The top of this Häagen-Dazs lineup: The SQUASH Float.... all kids LOVE squash! (right?)
Dinnertime!

No, it's not Easter... It's Dinner! Check out the Onsen Tamago.

The onsen tamago is an egg that's been heated in the thermal waters from around Mt. Fuji. It's soft-boiled and very tasty.
